Sgadari Villa in Petralia Soprana

Villa Sgadari is located in the Parco delle Madonie near the town of Petralia Soprana . The villa, once the holiday residence of one of the most prominent families of Petralia Soprana, is now owned by the Madonie Park Authority. It was built during the second half of the 18th century and is an important example of late 18th century architecture. The imposing building, still compact in its eighteenth-century bulk, shows the main facade artistically composed with goose-breasted balconies supported by artistic stone corbels: the moldings of the frames that frame the numerous openings underline the refinement of the architectural solutions.
