Church of Misericordia in Petralia Sottana
The Church of Mercy is one of the places of worship of Petralia Sottana. It was built in the 16th century and, according to historical sources, rebuilt at the behest of the Compagnia della Misericordia in 1613.
On the facade there is a sundial from 1882 by the friar Fedele Bencivinni. The bell tower of the church, with a clock and three bells, was built in 1597 by Mastro Pietro Tozzo, and belongs to the previous construction. Inside the church no traces remain as evidence of its ancient history.
