A causa delle condizioni meteo avverse la sfilata delle “Lapi di Cannaluari” e gli spettacoli musicali previsti domenica 11 febbraio sono rinviati.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the "Lapi di Cannaluari" parade and the musical shows scheduled for Sunday 11 February are postponed.

The Carnival in Santa Lucia del Mela is a very heartfelt and participated party by the entire population. The parades of allegorical floats, the masked groups and the tastings of typical recipes attract thousands of visitors every year. Also characteristic are the parades of the lape, the motoape, which for the occasion are decked out to celebrate.
The event that most characterizes the Carnevale Luciese, however, is the re-enactment of the cataletto, a carnival rite with very ancient origins which involves setting up a very special procession that accompanies Carnival until its death, a symbol of the end of the festival and the beginning of Lent.
