Cursa di Santu Luca in Corleone
A Cursa ri Santu Luca e Sant'Antoniu
The Cursa di Santu Luca, that is the San Leoluca race, is celebrated in Corleone on the last Sunday of May. On this day it is remembered when the city of Corleone was spared from the Bourbon ire in the revolutionary events of 1860. During the celebrations, the race of San Leoluca takes place accompanied by Sant'Antonio. The two statues side by side are carried up to the gates of the town and then in procession they return to the starting point where the two saints greet each other with the bow.
