The Feast of San Martino delle Scale in Monreale takes place in the month of November at the Abbey of San Martino delle Scale.
The celebrations in honor of San Martino, Bishop of Tours, begin with the ceremony of handing over the mantle on altar of San Martino and continue with a rich calendar of religious, cultural and recreational events: the historical re-enactment of the transit of San Martino, the solemn procession of the Relic of San Martino, visits to the Abbey of San Martino delle Scale, the blessing of the animals, the traditional distribution of San Martino biscuits, musical and entertainment shows.
