Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Castelvetrano

Day 3 May in Castelvetrano the feast in honor of the Holy Crucifix takes place, locally known as "La Festa di lu Signuri 3 di maiu". On this day we celebrate the arrival of the SS. Crucifix in the city of Castelvetrano at the end of 1600 by order of Prince Charles. On the occasion of the anniversary there is a historical re-enactment of "The Arrival of the Holy Crucifix in Castelvetrano" which consists of a traditional historical procession in sixteenth-century clothes, followed by knights and people holding candles and flowers.
