Holy October in Biancavilla
CELEBRATIONS in honor of Maria SS. dell'Elemosina, S. Placido and S. Zenone.
In the month of October the Patronal celebrations take place in Biancavilla in honor of the Patron Saints Maria SS. dell'Elemosina, S. Placido and S. Zenone.
A dense religious program is organized during the sacred October of Biancavilla: on the different days of celebration, various moments of prayer and solemn processions of the relics of the Holy Martyrs Placido are organized and Zeno, of the Simulacrum and the Relics of San Zeno, of the Simulacrum and the Relics of San Placido, the release of the Sacred Icon of the Madonna of Alms, pilgrimages and processions.
A busy program also takes place on the occasion of the celebrations of recreational events: musical shows, concerts, stamp cancellation and the traditional Arberesche historical re-enactment.< /p>

19:00 SOLEMN EUCHARISTIC CONCELEBRATION
20:00 PROCESSION of the simulacrum and the relic of St. Placido along the traditional "tour of the Saints".
When returning to the Basilica from Piazza Collegiata, pyrotechnic fireworks.
This is followed by the kiss and veneration of the Relic of St. Placido.
