Saracen festivals in Sambuca di Sicilia

Every year, in August, the Saracen festivals take place in the alleys of the ancient Arab quarter of Sambuca di Sicilia. It is a fascinating historical re-enactment, in which over 150 figures take part and in which 18 scenes are narrated, which traces the history of the town starting from the foundation by the Emir Al Zabut, up to the expulsion of the Arabs in the 13th century.
