Festival of Classical Youth Theater

The International Youth Classical Theater Festival is held every year, in May, in Palazzolo Acreide. It is the most important youth theater event in the world, due to its specificity and organizational effort. The review engages students in the staging of Greek-Latin classical works in the ancient theater of Palazzolo Acreide, in Syracuse. The young actors, in an extra-school context and out of any “amateur” misunderstanding, make the dialogues of tragedy and comedy their own, updating them on the magical remains of Akrai.
