Living Nativity Scene in Trappitello

The Living Crib of Trappitello is organized every year by the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Trappitello - Taormina. It is made in the immense garden of the ancient Church of Santa Venera in which the village of Bethlehem has been recreated. Of particular value are the structures of the old oil mill, the millstone and the windmill, made of stone and wood and perfectly functional.
Every year the organization of the living nativity scene involves over 200, including extras and employees in organizational activities and side events, who make their skills and talents available, making the Living Nativity scene of Trappitello unique, today among the most famous, appreciated and beautiful in Sicily.
The crib of Trappitello has also been defined as a place of historical memory as it allows you to relive the beauty of the past with the real staging of ancient crafts and the preparation of traditional dishes.
The characterizing element of the Living Crib of Trappitello is the large presence of animals that make this crib one of the most appreciated by children.
