Nocattolo Festival in Nicosia

The Nocattolo Festival in Nicosia takes place every year in September and celebrates the typical sweet of the culinary tradition of this city.
The nocattolo is a sweet made from shortcrust pastry on which a layer of pastry is spread of almonds flavored with cinnamon.
On the occasion of the event, in addition to the tasting of the typical Nicosian dessert, a gastronomic itinerary is set up with typical products of the city of Nicosia.
The days of the festival are enriched by folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows.
