Carduni Vruricatu festival in Pioppo - Monreale
The Carduni Vruricatu Festival in Pioppo, a small village in Monreale, celebrates an excellence of this territory.
U carduni vruricatu di Pioppo is a vegetable that is obtained through the technique of blanching the cultivated thistle, and today represents the history, agricultural and gastronomic culture of the Pioppo community and its territory.
On the occasion of the festival, conferences, entertainment shows and tastings of numerous cardoon-based specialties are organised: cardoons in batter, in salad, sausage, sfinci and much more.
