Sanctuary of the Madonna del Furi in Cinisi
The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Rosario del Furi rises in a place surrounded by nature and silence and is a destination for prayer meetings and pilgrimages.
It was built, according to tradition, following an apparition of the Madonna which took place in 1718 and at the consequent discovery of a sacred image on the wall of a farmhouse.
Inside the Sanctuary, the Image of the Madonna is venerated, a work dating back to the 17th century, painted on slate, and it is possible to contemplate an ancient crucifix and four canvases depicting San Benedetto, Santa Fara, San Francesco and the Blessed Maria di Gesù Santocanale.
So there are various parish groups and ecclesial associations which every year make a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary and which in the premises and spaces of the Sanctuary find hospitality, also having the possibility to stay overnight.
