Civic Museum of Termini Imerese
Baldassarre Romano Civic Museum of Termini Imerese, located in front of the Cathedral, exhibits various finds of ancient art and in particular of Greek-Roman art.
Most of the finds exhibited in the museum museum are been found during the excavations carried out in the archaeological area of Himera. Among the finds we distinguish: coins, architectural fragments, statuettes and various furnishings.
A large sector of the museum is dedicated to the Roman period of which you can admire portraits and statues, epigraphs, elements of the aqueduct Cornelio and numerous objects of daily life.
Inside the museum space there is also a picture gallery which houses works by Sicilian artists of the 16th and 17th centuries and other works of Flemish origin such as the Annunciation or the Byzantine triptych of the Odigitria.
Finally, a section of the museum is dedicated to the collection of works by local artists and historians of the 19th century: paintings, iconography, collections and engravings.
