Fonte Diana Square in Comiso
Piazza Fonte Diana in Comiso represents the center of the social, economic and cultural life of the city.
In the center of the square there is a mythical spring around which the first settlements that escaped the destruction of Kamarina or came down from the Cozzo d’Apollo have gathered. In Roman times, a few tens of meters from the source, an important spa complex was built, enlarged in the Byzantine era, the remains of which are still visible at the entrance to Via Calogero.
