Punta Secca is a picturesque seaside village that became famous under the name of Marinella thanks to the successful fiction "Il Commissario Montalbano", based on the novels of Andrea Camilleri.
The house of Montalbano is located in the village and the scenes at Enzo a Mare's restaurant.
Punta Secca is called by the locals "'a sicca" due to the presence of the cliff that extends between the stretches of sand along the eastern beach.
Punta Secca has a splendid beach formed by a beach of fine and golden sand and a splendid sea with shallow waters.
