Ritual Bread Museum in Salemi
The Museum of Ritual Bread in Salemi aims to raise awareness of the importance and traditions of bread, a central element in Sicilian and Mediterranean gastronomic culture. The importance of bread in Sicily is highlighted in the festivals, during which various forms of bread were produced, different from country to country, some finely worked, to which profound meanings were linked.
The Museum of Ritual Bread of Salemi is divided into two sections: Breads of the Salemitan tradition and breads of the Sicilian tradition , for a total of about a thousand shapes.
