The Church of San Giorgio di Castelmola , dating back to the mid-1400s, is characterized by a particular bell tower in the shape of a tower surmounted, in the corners, by 4 pyramidal pinnacles, clocheton, each holding a small ball in Stone.
The church has a single nave, has an entrance hall, which separates it from the square in front, covered by a round barrel vault. In the church, in the choir area which is accessed by a masonry staircase, an enormous wooden pipe organ is kept. In the center of the single nave on the right side in extension of the same nave, the Chapel of the Crucifix was built, so named because of the presence of a huge and ancient wooden crucifix. Behind the main altar is the apse that American emigrants, at their own expense, rebuilt to obtain the dome where the decorated wooden equestrian statue of St. George is currently kept, restored several times and restored to its original beauty. .
