The territory of Alcamo D.O.C., strongly characterized by the extraordinary geometry of the "espalier or awning" vineyards, is one of the most renowned territories in Italy for the production of wines. Its production area falls in some selected areas of the provinces of Trapani and Palermo. In particular, the "Bianco d'Alcamo" is one of the most precious and appreciated wines, which was recognized the "Denomination of Controlled Origin" in 1972. The Bianco d'Alcamo has a pale straw yellow color, with green reflections, a dry flavor , fresh, with a fruity scent, delicate aroma and an alcohol content between 11.5 ° and 13.5 °. The D.O.C. recently it has also been extended to red, rosé and sparkling wines.
