Moscato di Noto is produced within a large area of Syracuse, in the municipality of Noto and surrounding areas. Moscato di Noto DOC is a very fragrant dessert wine, yellow in color, tending to amber, vinified in the natural and fortified versions. Moscato di Noto is a Syracusan Doc appreciated on national and international markets. It is obtained by drying the grapes, a technique used by Greeks and Romans to increase the percentage of sugar as a result of the loss of water in the grape. This is why Moscato, as a dessert wine, has a greater amount of alcohol, enhancing its roundness and aromatic complexity, and increasing the intensity of the color.
