Church of San Giuseppe in Agrigento
The Church of San Giuseppe di Agrigento, located at the end of Via Atenea, has a Baroque style elevation enriched by a double order of steps and two bell towers.
The interior has a single nave. The ceiling was painted by Raffaele Gurrieri with scenes from the life of St. Joseph, in particular a "glory of St. Joseph" can be seen in the center and two scenes from the life of the Holy Family at the ends.
Inside the church are kept many works of particular interest are: a sculptural group with Don Bosco and children; a statue with the Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus; a statue of Santa Lucia; a wooden statue of San Giuseppe. These are works made between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
