The Spiaggia Caos , a thin beach of golden sand below a limestone ridge of extraordinary beauty, is located in the Agrigento area near the seaside town of Porto Empedocle.
The beach, bathed by a clean and uncontaminated sea with sloping seabed, has become famous thanks to the stories of the writer Luigi Pirandello: "... at the foot of the blue clay plateau, on the African sea ...", whose house Natale is located on the promontory of the beach.
The beach of Caos can be reached on foot, along the shoreline by sea, from the beach of contrada Maddalusa.
