Aquila Palace in Caltagirone
Aquila Palace in Caltagirone, or Palazzo dei Princes Interlandi of Bellaprima, is the symbolic palace of the city, seat of the Town Hall of Caltagirone.
It was built in the second half of the nineteenth century in neoclassical style and is home to the central offices of the Municipality of Caltagirone , of some Departments. On the ground floor it has large rooms that periodically host exhibitions of various kinds. On the upper floors it is possible to visit the Representation Hall and the Council Chamber.
The grandeur and elegance of its rooms characterize the building. The sumptuous monumental staircase is splendid and the liberty style facade on the back is exquisite.
