Festa dell'Alveria a Noto Antica

The Alveria Festival in Noto Antica takes place every year in spring in the Alveria Park in Noto. On the occasion of this event, various events are organized, such as archaeological walks, historical re-enactments and shows that will bring back to life the largest ghost town in Italy: Noto Antica. In fact, the Parco dell'alveria encloses the remains of the ancient city of Noto, a city founded by Ducezio in 428 BC. and destroyed by the terrible earthquake of the Val di Noto of 1693.
