Feast of Mary SS. Rosario in Acireale
The celebration in honor of Maria SS. Rosario in Acireale is celebrated on the first Sunday of May, in memory of the city's vote for liberation from the plague of 1743.
The festival is celebrated in the Church of San Domenico where a valuable and ancient simulacrum of the Virgin is kept and includes a rich religious program.
