Feast of Saint Joseph in Agrigento

The feast of San Giuseppe in Agrigento takes place every year on March.
On the eve of the feast the Ascension of the Saint is renewed in the chapel of the high altar. In the evening, after the Holy Mass, the great "Table" is blessed and set up in the hall of the Parish.
During the festivity there is the pilgrimage of many devotees from all parts of the city, the Pontifical of the Bishop and the distribution of the "Soup of San Giuseppe".
The procession of the Simulacrum takes place and crosses the historic center of the city. In addition to religious events, popular games are held in the square, parades and shows during the festival.
