Feast of St. Joseph in Spiga in Augusta
The Feast of San Giuseppe 'a Spiga in Augusta is an event very popular with the population and deeply rooted in popular tradition.
The festival, born as a propitiatory festival of abundance and fertility of the fields, is traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday after Easter.
On the day of the festival, the solemn procession of the simulacrum of the Patriarch San Giuseppe takes place. Numerous cultural, folkloristic and entertainment events are organized during the celebrations.

09:00 “S. Giuseppe” Mini Volleyball Trophy - XXV Edition organized by the C.S.I. (Italian Sports Center) Siracusa Section in collaboration with Pallavolo Augusta.

10:00 Spring Market: Antiques, Crafts and Little Curiosities.
Piazza D'Astorga
12:30 Mini volleyball trophy award ceremony.
17:30 Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Eucharistic Adoration.
18:30 Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Don Gianluca Belfiore, parish priest of San Martino in Syracuse.
19:00 Eucharistic Procession through the main streets of the city.
Upon return to the Church, homily and solemn Eucharistic Blessing.
