Feast of San Giuseppe in Niscemi
The feast of San Giuseppe Artigiano in Niscemi includes a rich religious program which culminates with the solemn procession through the streets of the historic center of the town. The feast is preceded by a triduum of preparation for the solemn celebrations.
Dates and Scheduling
Every day in the Church of San Giuseppe, Holy Mass will be preceded half an hour before by the Prayer of the Holy Rosary and the Chaplet in honor of San Giuseppe.

Moment of prayer and blessing of the fields and procession to the Church of San Giuseppe.
The Reliquary of Blessed Pino Puglisi will be exposed to the veneration of the faithful in the Church of San Giuseppe until March 21st.

10:00 - 13:00 Visit and Blessing of the Altars of San Giuseppe with the Reliquary of the Blessed Pino Puglisi.
The Church of San Giuseppe will be open all day.
17:00 First Vespers on the Solemnity of Saint Joseph.
17:30 From the Church of Sant'Antonio, Procession of the civil and military authorities of Niscemi together with the Mayors of the neighboring towns, towards the Church of the Patron Saint, accompanied by the Imperial Drums of Comiso.
18:15 Solemn Eucharistic Concelebration presided over by His Excellency the Most Reverend Monsignor SALVATORE GRISTINA, Archbishop Emeritus of Catania in the presence of the civil and military authorities.
The Holy Mass will be animated by the Polylonica Choir "Perfecta Laetitia" of Gela.
Act of entrustment of the city and floral tribute by the Mayor.
At the end of the Holy Mass, BLESSING OF THE BEANS, BREAD AND BASKETS OF ST. JOSEPH.
In the churchyard: Show of the Imperial Drums of Comiso and lighting of the Luminarie and III Edition of the Tasting of typical products of the Altars of St. Joseph.

THE CHURCH WILL REMAIN OPEN ALL DAY TO ALLOW THE DEVOTED FAITHFUL TO VISIT "THE ALTAR OF PROVIDENCE" AND BRING VOTIVE BREAD IN HONOR OF THE GLORIOUS PATRIARCH SAINT JOSEPH.

10:30 Solemn Eucharistic Celebration.
12:00 BLESSING and SACRED REPRESENTATION OF THE “LUNCH OF THE SAINTS” on the parvis of the Church of San Giuseppe.
15:00 Traditional charity auction for the poor in honor of Patriarch Saint Joseph.
19:30 Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Parish Priest Don ROCCHELIO GIULIANA and blessing of the fathers present.
AT THE END OF EACH EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION, BLESSING OF THE BREAD, OF THE BASKETS OF ST. JOSEPH, foodstuffs, fruits of the earth and packaged sweets, brought to the church during the seven-day period, which will be DONATED to the neediest families in the city.
THE CHURCH WILL REMAIN OPEN ALL DAY.
