The Feast of the SS. Crocifisso a Buscemi takes place in the month of May and includes a rich program of events.
The feast of the SS. Crucifix has very ancient origins and has been celebrated since the eighteenth century. One of the ancient traditions, no longer practiced, required the faithful to kneel at the entrance to the church and drag themselves to the main altar by passing their tongues on the ground.
Today the Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix includes various religious moments which culminate in the solemn procession of the venerated simulacrum of the SS. Crucifix.
Alongside the rich religious program, various recreational events are organized on holiday days.
