San Bartolomeo Fair in Giarratana

The San Bartolomeo fair in Giarratana takes place every year in August, on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the patron saint San Bartolomeo.
It is a secular fair, established with a royal decree of the Kingdom of the Two Sicily at the beginning of the 19th century, and represents the oldest event dedicated to animal husbandry in the province of Ragusa.
On the occasion of this event, in which local breeders will take part, an equestrian parade - Gran Galà - Cavalli in Fiera is also organised, during which it will be possible to attend various horse exhibitions, to shows of dancing horses, to high school figures, to carousels of knights and ladies accompanied by beautiful choreography.<7P
