The Artichoke Festival of Castelvetrano is a great gastronomic event that enlivens the streets of the historic center of the town every year with tastings and show cooking.
Castelvetrano is a large agricultural center and the cultivation of artichokes is widespread to the point that the inhabitants of Castelvetrano are historically called "Carcucciulari". During the festival, numerous stands are set up with typical products and catering points dedicated to the artichoke and the many preparations based on artichokes, such as roasted artichokes, artichoke omelettes, roasted artichokes, artichoke tabbouleh, artichoke sushi and artichoke rosolio.
