Cannistrà VIllage in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto
The village of Cannistrà, in the area of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, is a small village which, thanks to its artistic installations, has become an open-air museum. Several art installations are present in the village: murals, municipal electric light poles transformed into works of art, majolica tiled steps of the village stairs.
Many projects and events have contributed to transforming this village into a great work of art: Cannistrà for Amref, Cannistrà under the stars, Cannistr'arte Exposition, Cannistrà Classic Concert.
The village is located in a beautiful position: nestled among small hills planted with vineyards, olive groves, carob and fir trees, it overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea with the Aeolian Islands on the horizon.
