Punta Grande Beach in Realmonte
The beach of Punta Grande, adjacent to the beach of Porto Empedocle, extends for about 10 km up to the Lido di Capo Rossello. It is characterized by an alternation of long beaches of golden sand and cliffs and rocky ridges of calcareous marl whose white color is the distinctive feature. Among all the famous Scala del Turchi stands out.
The beaches of Punta Grande are also ideal for families with children: they are easily reachable by car from the state road and it is possible to use all the services offered by the bathing establishments present.
In this stretch of coast there are also less frequented, wilder places suitable for nature lovers: walking along a path towards the Scala dei Turchi, one encounters a small cove, an uncontaminated and uncrowded place where nature is still mistress with the its dwarf palm trees, rosemary bushes and other plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub.
