Casazza of Nicosia
The 2023 edition of the Casazza in Nicosia will be held on March 31 and April 1 and 2.
In the week before Easter, in Nicosia, the Casazza takes place, a traveling theater for streets and squares of the city with figures in period costumes that symbolize episodes from the Old and New Testaments.
This traditional representation has ancient origins and was made in the 19th century the village of Nicosia is famous throughout Sicily.
