Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Carini
The Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Carini takes place on 14 September. It is the Patronal Festival of the city and a rich program of events is organized every year.
The heart of the festival is the liturgical day of the exaltation of the Cross, scheduled for 14 September with the celebration of various Masses throughout the day. In the evening the awaited procession takes place followed by the faithful holding lighted candles, many of them barefoot. After the ceremony, at midnight, the party ends with the fireworks show.
As part of the celebrations of the Holy Crucifix, various collateral events are planned, such as musical and entertainment shows.
