Feast of San Domenico Savio in Scordia

The Feast of San Domenico Savio in Scordia takes place on May 6, the day of the liturgical anniversary, and the second week of July when the great patronal feast takes place.
The most important moment of the festivities is the solemn procession of the simulacrum and relic of San Domenico Savio, a bone fragment of the Saint, through the streets of the historic center of Scordia which, for the occasion, is colored with drapes, flags and blankets hung from the balconies.
Next to a rich religious program a full program of events takes place with dancing evenings, exhibitions, fashion shows, and tastings of typical local products.
