The celebrations in honor of the Patron Saint San Mauro Abate in Viagrande take place every year on January 15th, on the occasion of the liturgical anniversary, and in the month of September.
The celebration of January 15th begins on the day of the eve, on January 14th, with the transfer of the Artistico Fercolo of the Patron Saint from the "Casa 'a vara" to the Mother Church, accompanied by the Committees and the band body. This is followed by the offering of wax and the procession of the relic of the Patron Saint. The most folkloristic moment of the festival is the so-called "entry of the parties", that of Santa Caterina and that of Scalatelli, with the performance of the ancient cantatas of the two districts. The day ends with a grandiose fireworks competition: the two parties thus compete to offer the best fireworks display.
On January 15th, at 1 pm sharp, the triumphal exit of the simulacrum of the Saint takes place accompanied by a grandiose fireworks display, the procession follows through the city streets where the Saint is accompanied by faithful devotees and bands. When the fercolo reaches Piazza San Mauro the traditional "Descent of the Angel" takes place: a wooden angel is brought down from a canopy holding flowers and banknotes which he will donate to the Saint.
The final day takes place on the Sunday following the festival of the celebrations: the Patron Saint, in the afternoon, is carried in procession and brought back to the Mother Church where the traditional cantata to the Patron Saint is performed. The festival ends with the closing of the statue of the patron saint in the chapel.

Dates to be confirmed, program not yet available.
Traditionally, the first Sunday of September is dedicated to the veneration of the patron saint of Viagrande , to satisfy the request of many faithful to be able to see the Saint during the summer season, given the impossibility of being present during the winter. On the feast day the simulacrum is moved to the main altar and carried on the shoulder in procession. The celebration is often accompanied by recreational events
