Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Baucina - Program
The Feast of the SS. Crucifix in Baucina traditionally takes place on the second Sunday of May and includes religious moments rich in faith and moments of folklore rich in tradition.
Rich in folklore and tradition is the Furriata di li torci, an event during which knights and amazons with floral torches in their hands parade through the streets of the historic center. The equestrian procession is closed by the retine, or two batteries of five mules decked out for the occasion, covered in vestments depicting scenes from the gospel. It is tradition that sweets are thrown from the nets on those present.
Another highlight of the festival is the procession with the effigy of the SS. Crucifix during which the traditional volata degli Angeli also takes place.
During the days of celebration, the festival of typical local products, the market fair and various musical and entertainment shows are also organized.

21:30 Solemn Procession with the effigy of the Holy Crucifix with the traditional “flight of the angels”, with the participation of the Civil and Military Authorities, the Confraternity of Parish Committees and the “Francesco Genovese” musical band.
24:00 DJ SET.
