Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Santa Margherita del Belice

On the first Sunday of May, the celebrations in honor of the SS. Crucifix, one of the most important and solemn religious celebrations.
The traditional "Scinnuta di la Cruci" takes place on the Saturday before the feast day: the people invoke the Song in honor of the Cross which is lowered to be kissed by the faithful. Of ancient tradition is the solemn procession of the wooden Christ placed on the imposing Vara Trionfale which on Sunday, through the streets of the town, starts at dawn and ends with spectacular fireworks.
During the celebrations, collateral events of a sporting nature take place , musical, cultural and entertainment.
