Traditions
The Li Asineddi Festival in Carini celebrates the typical local dishes prepared with bluefish Zerro, known as Asineddu in Sicilian dialect. A fish with high nutritional values, which lends itself well to being fried, cooked in a pan or used for the preparation of soups.
Among the main traditional dishes that can be tasted during the festival, we mention pasta with
em>Asineddu and Asineddi with sweet and sour onion.
Alongside the tasting of these typical local dishes, numerous stands will be set up where it will be possible to taste the typical street food Sicilian.
On holidays, numerous folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows are also organised.
