Festival of ricotta and cheese in Vizzini

During the Festival of Flavors and Knowledge in Vizzini, the traditional Ricotta and Cheese Festival takes place, an excellence of this area.
It is a great event in which the typical products of this area are celebrated, on the one hand, and the places described in the Verghian novels, on the other.
On the occasion of the event, numerous stands are set up for the tasting of typical products of the area of Vizzini, such as ricotta and cheeses in particular, and of many typical dishes of the local tradition, such as impanate, cuddiruna, cassatelle, nucatole...
literary walks are also organized in the places described in Giovanni Verga's short stories and theatrical representations set where Verga set his works.
Various folk events are also organized on the occasion of the Festa dei Saporti e dei Saperi.
