Festa of Saint Joseph in Cefalù

On the evening of the eve of the feast of San Giuseppe, the Vampa di San Giuseppe is organized, a spectacular bonfire that lights up the magnificent cathedral of Cefalù. On the feast day, the fercolo of the Saint is carried in procession through the streets of the village. In these days it is traditional to taste "i sfinci", soft cakes made with flour and eggs, fried and covered with ricotta cream.
