Cala Spugne in Lampedusa

Cala Spugne in Lampedusa, located on the southeastern coast of the island, is a beach characterized by a thin strip of sand and rocks. The scenery created by the rocks set in the sea in a contrast of colors makes the landscape extremely suggestive. Its name "sponges" recalls that the beach was once used for fishing and for the treatment of sponges.
The beach can be reached easily along the airport road.
