Museum of Grande Cretto di Burri

The Museo del Cretto is located inside a church which remained unscathed from the 1968 earthquake that destroyed Gibellina.
The Grande Cretto museum is dedicated to the homonymous work by Land Art created by Alberto Burri in 1981, who covered the ruins of the old Gibellina with a pour of white cement. The museum houses photographs, historical documents, models and projections that tell the birth and genesis of Burri's work.
