Blue Grotto in Taormina
The Blue Grotto of Taormina is a spectacular cave set in a rocky wall about 15 meters high in the bay of the Isola Bella Marine Park in Taormina.
The peculiar feature of this cave is that in the morning it turns a bright blue by the effect of the sun's rays refracted through the sea.
The Blue Grotto has a depth of about 20 meters and offers the opportunity to snorkel and admire the richness of the flora and fauna of its seabed.
E It is possible to reach the cave from the beach of Giardini Naxos via a boat or kayak tour, and from the beach of Isola Bella in Taormina.
