Sicilian Museum of Art and Traditions in Taormina
The Sicilian Museum of Popular Art and Traditions of Taormina collects works for the most part from private collections, in particular from the Giovanni Panarello collection. The museum itinerary is divided into 14 sections organized by thematic areas.
Inside the museum are exhibited pieces of artistic craftsmanship and objects of use, such as devotional wooden sculptures, cribs, anthropomorphic ceramics, elaborate pieces of Sicilian cart, placards of the puppet opera, which constitute a precious testimony of Sicilian life and popular culture.
