Feast of the Holy Cross in Rosolini
The Feast of the Holy Cross in Rosolini traditionally takes place in the month of May and includes a calendar full of religious and recreational events.
The veneration for the Holy Cross in Rosolini is very ancient, the discovery of the Cross dates back to 1533 and linked to a miraculous event.
On the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the Holy Cross, the pilgrimage to the hermitage of the Holy Cross takes place, traditionally on May 1st, where solemn religious celebrations take place. In the following days other celebrations take place which culminate with the solemn procession of the Holy Cross through the streets of the historic centre.
A rich recreational program is also organized during the holidays.
