Feast of San Isidoro Agricola in Giarre
The celebrations in honor of Sant'Isidoro Agricola, Patron Saint of the City of Giarre, take place in the month of May and include a rich program of events.
Several events prepare for the day of solemn celebrations: the relics of the Saint Patron are brought to the Farmer's Market where the fruits of the earth are blessed; the traditional bread altar is set up in honor of Sant'Isidoro; the traditional historical procession takes place along the streets of the historic center.
On the day of the solemn celebrations, after the solemn pontifical celebration, the triumphal exit of the Simulacrum of Sant'Isidoro takes place. Following the traditional procession through the streets of the historic center. The day of celebration ends with the reposition of the simulacrum of the Patron Saint in the chapel, the kiss and the solemn blessing with the relics.

19:00 Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fra Emanuele Artale, Parish Priest of the Parish "San Francesco d'Assisi" in Giarre.
At the end of the celebration: procession with the venerated simulacrum of the Patron Saint to the churchyard, blessing with the relics; Translation of the venerated simulacrum to its chapel, singing of the hymn and closing of the chapel.
