Feast of the Holy Martyr Brothers in Sant'Alfio
The Feast of the Holy Martyr Brothers Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino in Sant'Alfio traditionally takes place on the last Sunday of April.
The procession of the Holy Relics takes place on the evening before the feast. On the feast day, the triumphal exit of the Vara with the simulacra of the three martyr brothers takes place.
Various collateral events are organized during the feast days.

15:00 Gathering in the square of the Castagno dei Cento Cavalli, of the traditional and folkloristic Sicilian Carts and of the Folk Group “Vecchia Ionia”.

16:00 From the Castagno dei Cento Cavalli square, parade along the streets of the town with arrival in Piazza Duomo and final exhibition.
19:00 Holy Mass of the Triduum and Chaplet to the Holy Martyr Brothers.
At the end of the celebration, candles with the flame drawn from the Easter candle will be distributed, which will be used to light the “dera”.
20:30 ‘A DERA.
A cannon shot will announce the lighting of the traditional resinous wood bonfires “a dera” in memory of the passage of the Saints.
Parade through the streets of the town of the “Città di Zafferana Etnea” band directed by Maestro Ignazio Coco and the “Leoni Reali” flag-wavers and musicians of Camporotondo Etneo (CT).
Reenactment of the passage of the holy martyrs Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, in period costumes, curated by the theatre group of the parish “S. Venera” in S. Venerina (CT).
