Wheat festival in Rosolini

The Palio del Grano in Rosolini traditionally takes place in the month of May and recalls the rich history of this city.
On the occasion of the event, the great Palio del Grano race is organized in which the historic districts of the city take part by Rosolini. The event includes a program full of events: the wheat palio procession with participants in period costumes; the review of the historical parades of Sicily; the Cucca festival, i.e. dough rolled out with a rolling pin filled with cheese and sausage and cooked in the oven; Tastings of typical local products; the traditional Arte dei Madonnari competition in which local artists take part; guided tours to discover the beauties of the village; musical, folkloristic and entertainment shows.
